The men finished up their regular season last Saturday as they took on the best team in the Marshall, the Oakville Crusaders. The Beach were red hot coming into this contest. The 1XV haven’t lost a game since July while the 2s haven’t lost since late June. What did we have in store for the CRU?
It was an absolute shootout for the 2XV who have been averaging 36 points over their 6 game win streak. Unfortunately were not able to pull off the W coming up short, 38-24
The 1XV have turned around their season and are the hottest team in the league since the August break. It also helps to have the last 4 games of the regular season at home too. This game was like the last 3. Tough defense and taking advantage of their mistakes, the Beach take down the CRU 31-12.

The BBOBs Finally Lose – The Balmy Beach Old Boys played in the Niagara Old Boys Tournament on Saturday. Last year we hoisted the Samuel Adams Octoberfest Trophy high and had full intentions of doing it again this year. Unfortunately the Niagara Old Boys decided to play some in the second game and issue the BBOBs their first loss ever. I guess all good things come to an end. We finished the tournament 2nd overall.
