1975 – The Second Carling Cup!
Eight years earlier, the Balmy Beach were led to their first Calring Cup by captain Red Lipsett. By 1975, the “C” had changed hands, but not families.
Led by Captain Jake Lipsett, the Blue and Gold held off a tough Irish side to win out 7-3. It was the 4th consecutive Carling Cup loss for the green guys!
Kevin Quinn scored the only try of the game with Trevor Thompson missing the convert, but he manage to slot a penalty kick to redeem himself.
An offside penalty by Scooter gave the Irish their only points.
