2026 Season Finale – Saturday was McCormick cup day but it would start with the Balmy Beach Old Boys kicking off the day against the Niagara Old Boys / Gentlemen Inter Toronto Selects / Oakville side for the inaugural Masters Cup. Dressed in our finest, baby blue and white uniforms, the BBOBs reminded this mismash of a side that we are still the best and intend to keep it that way. The score was a lot for the BBOBs and little for the others so we brought home some hardware. Congratulations.
This season has truly been a roller coaster for our athletes, and now that it’s officially over, it’s one we’ll carry with us for a long time.
Congratulations again to our women, who dominated the TRU and earned their move to the OWL next year. What an incredible achievement, and so well deserved.
And to our men, thank you for never giving up. After a tough start to the season, you found something special in late August and went on an unforgettable run all the way to the McCormick Cup semi-finals, where you fell only to the 2026 champions, the Brantford Harlequins. That fight, that belief, that finish, that’s what this club is about.
There were so many great highlights this year, but 2026 will always be remembered most for the loss of Coach Brian Krawetz. The tone of the season changed after his passing, and you could feel his influence guiding us through it all, in our great defence, our great set piece, and the great rugby we played together.
Thank you to everyone who made this season what it was.
