TRU Women
Balmy Beach battled hard but fell just short in a fast, physical matchup against the Brampton Beavers, ending 29–24. The Beach attack found space out wide and the forwards laid down heavy carries, keeping the game within reach all afternoon. A late push had the momentum swinging back Beach’s way, but Brampton’s defense held in the final minutes to secure the win. A tough loss, but a strong, competitive showing from the squad

ORU III
Full of your young talent that has transitioned up from our junior programs and a couple veterans to glue to team together the ORU III’s got off to a flying start and never looking back. Numbers 1-15 all overpowered their opposition and it seemed like every time the backs were able to connect with each other and get the ball wide, we scored. Final Score Beach 47 Aurora 5

ORU II
The first half kicked off in much the same way as the III’s with Beach dominance raining in tries. The game looked to be another run away but Aurora held in in the second half mounting a resurgence late in the game. By that point however Beach was too far ahead for Aurora to catch up with the score at the final whistle locking in at Beach 36-Aurora 19

ORU I
A sloppy start for the ORU I’s led to two much-to-easy try’s for Aurora early in the first half and to give them a 12-0 lead right off the hop. The pouring rain made it difficult for our typically dominant back line to gain traction going down field. The game turned into a typical rainy day for forwards. Despite the slow start Beach battled back to take the lead with about 8 minutes left to go. However, two penalties inside our 22 gave Aurora the opportunity to get over the try line one last time. Final Score Beach 27, Aurora 33

There are no games this weekend due to the Victoria Day weekend but there is going to be a great dinner tomorrow night.
