The CRU didn’t have the bodies to field a team, the Beach 3s win by default 20 – 0
The Balmy Beach fell to CRU with a final score of 36–17. At halftime, the Beach trailed by just a narrow 10–7 margin, keeping the match within reach. However, the second half saw CRU’s backline come alive, producing an explosive stretch of play. They consistently exploited overlaps and capitalized on costly penalties, turning tight moments into scoring opportunities. Despite some determined efforts from the Beach, the momentum firmly swung in CRU’s favor, sealing the victory.
The 1s took to the pitch in another must win situation. The blue and gold came out of the tunnel fired up wanting to remind the CRU that we’re still the champs. The Beach were dominating in all aspects of play and their signature defense was too much for the CRU. Scoring at will and often, the Beach win big 49-17.
