TRU II: Default Win VS Mississauga
TRU I: 33-15 Win VS Mississauga – I didn’t go to this game but it was apparently a route in the first half, and then Mississauga clawed their way back in a little.
ORU II: 14-22 Loss VS Scottish II’s – With over 65 players unavailable this weekend our ORU two’s came out of the gate slow. The boys on the field stepped up as much as they could but with so many players playing out of position in order to other absences it took a little while for the squad to find it’s feet. By half time we were down 0-14. The two’s rallied in typical fashion and won the second half, but ran out of time before the final whistle blew. Final Score 14-22 loss for the Beach.
ORU I: 38-21 Win VS Scottish I’s – In the greatest rivalry in sports entertainment the Beach I’s squared off against the Scottish I’s. The game opened with young Stephen Webb, hot off of his stint with the Hong Kong – China U20 National Team return to wear the number 9 Beach jersey. The game got off to a slow start with both teams making mistakes into opposition 22 and turning over the ball on chances to score. The score at half time was 5-7 for the Scottish. Beach began the second half determined to put on a clinic quickly turning on the heat with a try after the Scottish overthrew their own line out inside their 22. From then on we capitalized again and again on Scottish errors knocking in 4 more try’s. The Scottish scored two late tries to make the score appear closer than the game felt, but about 15min into the second half the game was more or less over. Final Score 38-21 for Beach. This win locks in our position as first in our division, and guarantee’s our promotion into the new Premiership (Top 8) division for next years season. This also guarantees us a top 4 seed for the McCormick Cup
